Canadian author Catherine Stakks has been crafting heartwarming stories infused with mystery, humor, and memorable characters for many years. Her distinctive storytelling blends warmth, gentle humor, memorable characters, and immersive settings where readers feel instantly at home.
Passionate about people and the places they call home, she draws inspiration from the experiences, communities, and cultures she encounters wherever she travels. Those encounters shape the authentic characters, welcoming settings, and emotional depth that define her work.

Since 2015, Catherine Stakks has built a diverse body of independently published work, including novels, holiday fiction, a children’s picture book, and the long-running Minor Investigations cozy mystery series. Her books have earned a growing readership across Canada, France, and the United States.
She is currently seeking representation for the English-language edition of the Minor Investigations series. English-language and foreign rights remain available.
